Outdated Electrical Panel? You May Qualify for an Upgrade
Many homes across Southeastern Wisconsin still rely on older electrical panels or even fuse boxes that weren’t designed to handle today’s electrical needs. Upgrading your panel can improve safety, reliability, and prepare your home for future energy upgrades — and grant funding may be available to help cover the cost.
If you are a homeowner or landlord in Wisconsin, Green Homeowners United can help you upgrade to safer, modern electrical panels with the possibility of grant funding.
Why an Electrical Panel Upgrades Matters
Your electrical panel is the heart of your home’s power system. When it’s outdated or unsafe, it can lead to:
-
Increased risk of electrical fires
-
Overloaded circuits and frequent breaker trips
-
Limited capacity for modern appliances and technology
-
Higher insurance concerns or costs
If your panel is more than a few years old, your breaker keeps tripping, or the fuse box doesn’t feel reliable, it may be time to have it looked at.

Grant Funding Available for Qualified Homes

If you qualify, fuse box replacements are available at little to no cost through state-funded programs.
